POINTLESS quiz presenter Alexander Armstrong will be in the picturesque Cotswold village of Adlestrop, famous for its literary associations with Jane Austen and the poet, Edward Thomas, as guest judge for a fun dog show.
The village is hosting its annual open day on June 14 from 12 noon with events in and around the village hall and several gardens open for close inspection by visitors.
Lunches and teas will be served in the village hall where there will be stalls selling home made produce and plants. There will also be a bottle tombola and bric-a-brac stall.
There will be pony rides and traditional games for children on the green while a children's choir will be singing at the church and an exhibition by local artists and photographers will be taking place at Manor Farm. There will also be a chance to take a look at the thoroughbreds at the racing stables.
The fun dog show with the BBC One quizmaster and comedian starts at 2pm with the open day closing at 5pm.
