CLASSIC cars will be rolling into Tewkesbury for a festival being held this August.

The Tewkesbury Classic vehicle festival grew out of the Bredon Classic and Vintage Show that used to be held on Bredon Cricket Ground.

The popular event is now held at Tewkesbury School's playing field off Ashchurch Road, this year taking place between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, August 21.

More than 500 cars and 200 motorcycles will be available to view, as well as automobilia and 100 market stalls selling jewellery, jam, and toffees, and vehicle-related jumble.

Among the vehicles on show will be lots of Rolls Royces, Ferraris, Bentleys and Alfa Romeos. There could also be Bugattis, Broughs, and vintage Triumphs.

Children will be entertained by rides, while the Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter which will be operating from the site. Live music will be provided from the Haywood Sisters.

Entry costs £5, children under 12 go free. Free onside parking is available.
