FIFTY-nine members competed for honours at Naunton Downs Golf Club’s seniors captain’s day.
The format was four-ball individual stablefords off the yellow tees and scoring was moderate with a few exceptions.
Men’s captain Will Mustoe won the seniors’ Paul Lunt Rose Bowl with Rod Turner runner-up and Bob Bickerdike in third place.
The veterans’ winner for the John Jeffery Salver was Ron Adamson with Malcolm Hobbs in second spot and Alby Belcher third.
Nearest-the-pin prizes were handed out to Mustoe (3rd), Turner (6th), Andrew Hume (12th) and Ray Everest (14th).
The captain’s drive went 185 yards and Bryan Sumner guessed correctly. Members raised £1,036 for the captain’s charity, Parkinson’s UK.
