MANAGER Paul Collicutt is set to welcome back three key men for Evesham United’s match against Wimborne Town tomorrow (3pm).

Captain Matt Sysum, defender Linden Dovey and striker Adam Mann are all expected to feature at the Jubilee Stadium as the Robins look to kickstart their campaign.

After losing 1-0 in their opener at promoted Salisbury last Saturday, Evesham let a two-goal half-time cushion slip to draw 2-2 at home to Didcot Town on Tuesday night.

Collicutt said it was a “bitter pill to swallow” to have secured just one point from two games but he is confident his side will get stronger.

“I knew the first two games of the season were going to be very difficult for us because of the players that weren’t going to be available,” he said.

“But now we have got Matt, Linden and Adam, who will make us stronger as a unit.”

Influential centre-half Sysum returns from suspension and last season’s top scorer Mann is back from holiday.

But Evesham will be without full-back Ben Prictor, forward Sam Pearson and first-choice keeper Kev Sawyer, who are all unavailable.

Defender Liam Harding (knee), midfielder Jordan Bryan (calf) and winger Jacob Sloggett (ankle) are nursing injuries.

“Wimborne are one of four teams who have won both games, so the league appears to be very open,” Collicutt said.

“We need to focus on winning games sooner rather than later.”

The Dorset visitors have beaten Bishops Cleeve 4-1 at home and Paulton Rovers 1-0 away in midweek.
