Police have warned of 'bogus' workmen pretending to be a water company.
Gloucestershire Constabulary has received reports of people claiming to be Thames Water.
The workmen were seen knocking on doors in London Road in Northleach at around 11am on Wednesday, November 17.
Thames Water has been contacted and has stated that they have no planned works in this area.
All Thames Water employees will have identification on them and will produce it if asked.
Police state that they did not receive reports in other areas of the Cotswolds on Wednesday.
