HONEYBOURNE team Jones Dorling Racing and rider Ashley Beech secured seven points from ninth place at the National Superstock 1000 Championship ninth round at Cadwell Park.
Beech moved up to 12th in the standings on the Kawasaki ZX-10R after the Lincolnshire contest was marred by several crashes.
He attended a test day at the venue but red flags, changeable weather and a busy track got in the way.
Starting with a base set-up, Beech was plagued with problems during practice and managed 28th.
After various changes to the bike, he improved his lap times to qualify 11th and start from the fourth row.
The machine was still proving a handful but Beech finished ninth after the race was delayed and then eventually ended by several crashes with a third left to complete.
